Staying confident isn’t always easy. Too often, we focus on the negative thoughts we have toward ourselves instead of the positive. Use this list as a reminder to celebrate the great qualities and attributes that make you who you are and walk confidently into your dreams.

  1. Make a list of (10) things you do well

If you only have a few things on this list, you’re not thinking hard enough. You are literally one-of-a-kind, and there are traits and characteristics you possess that make you irresistible. Write them down to keep you going throughout the year.

  1. Create a playlist to keep you confident and inspired

Nowadays, there are tons of free music streaming sites and apps like Pandora, Spotify and Soundcloud that allow you to make your own playlist. Need Pharell to remind you stay “Happy” throughout the year? Make a playlist with your favorite positive tunes to keep you smiling while on the go.

  1. Make a vision board

Vision boards are great tools for reminding you of your goals and aspirations in both your career and personal life. Having a visual reminder of the great things ahead of you can boost your morale as you debate going out on the rainy days. Try to position your board in place where you have no choice but to get inspired. Beside your bed, reading spot, on your ceiling or next to your mirror are a few places to start.

  1. Arrange a “me day”

Sometimes we get so busy dream chasing that we forget to stop and smell the roses. In your race to the top, don’t forget to schedule at least one hour or one day a week to just take care of yourself: spa time, shopping trip, road trip or a long bath are all good ideas to add to your planner. When you take care of yourself, your confidence has no choice but to improve!

  1. Don’t compare yourself

There’s only one you. Own it! Your perspective, experiences, and unique personality make you who you are. We are all on the same bus headed towards our dreams. Don’t get distracted by the other passengers. There’s a seat with your name on it. Don’t miss it by seating in someone else’s seat.

2015 has a lot in store for those of us who work hard, play hard and love hard. Save some of that lovin’ for yourself and be confident in your dreams and abilities.
